After a few days of research, I agreed we'd purchase this blender and it would be our last. We've had 3 blenders in 5yrs....Oster, Betty Crocker, and Sunbeam. The first thing we did after reading the extensive booklet of recipes and instructions, we made fruit smoothies. AWESOME! They turned out with the quality and taste you'd expect from the overpriced places you'd usually purchase from, only MUCH cheaper! Soup is made in under a min.! I wanted to make wedding cookies but was out of powdered sugar. My husband said, "the new blender makes flour, it should make powdered sugar." I had my doubts. But, after 20 seconds or so, granulated sugar was powdered! Oh, and this machine makes perfect slushies, snow cones, smoothies, and shakes! The ice turns to snow, really! If you use wet ice, it's slushy material. I put coffee beans in it to see how fine it would make them...it turned to powder in 30 seconds flat. I am so impressed with this machine. I have yet to make ice cream in it, but it comes with the recipe. I can't rave enough about this machine and all that it can make/do.
